ASHP MCM Call for Submissions - Safety & Quality Pearls
The Section of Inpatient Care Practitioners is seeking members to submit their proposals for 5 minute Safety & Quality Pearls for the 2010 Midyear Clinical Meeting in Anaheim.
A pearl is a 5-minute presentation designed to convey one practical idea, concept, or fact that has been useful in day-to-day practice. It should be an interesting topic that is not "common knowledge" or widely published, understood or taught, and can help improve patient care. Our goal is to convey examples of interventions, programs, or processes that have improved patient safety or the quality of patient care. We are looking for pearls related to: Automation and Technology, QA/QI, Medication Safety, Drug Shortages, REMS and other “hot topics” related to patient safety and quality.
This year’s session will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Individuals submitting proposals should confirm they will be attending the 2010 Midyear Clinical Meeting with their proposal submission, as this is voluntary and no compensation from ASHP is provided.
Interested in sharing your pearl? Submit your idea (title and brief description of <100 words) to kowiatekjg@upmc.edu by June 18, 2010.
