The American Society of Medication Safety Officers (ASMSO), based in Massachusetts, is a 501c (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement and excellence in safe medication use by providing leadership, direction, education and communication among its members.
2009 Organization Goals
-Ratify and adopt a mission statement that provides meaningful purpose for a sustainable organization dedicated to Medication Safety Officers
-Ratify and implement by-laws that establish a governance and membership structure
-Develop a committee structure to meet the needs of the membership and organizational growth
-Develop and submit an RFP for association management
-Enhance internet experience, user forums, value, and communication to the membership
